Collapse Unchanged Fragments resets after accepting diff (via diff comparison screen)

I have this button enabled by default. It collapses chunks of unchanged code so that only areas with diffs appear (and optional context lines configured in preferences)

After accepting a diff in this view, it seems to sometimes reset to show the entire file rather than staying in the collapsed view. Is there a way to force it to always remain in collapsed view?

I'm not positive of the conditions to have this happen, but it could be related to accepting the top most or bottom most diff.
