Logging into JetBrains account on Linux
Answered
Hi,
I'm logged into IntelliJ on my Windows machine, using the Toolbox and that way I can use the Settings sync to the account.
On Linux (Manjaro, KDE) however, I'm also logged into my account using the Toolbox and starting IntelliJ via the Toolbox, but I'm not logged in to my account and can't sync my settings.
The little gear is missing on the bottom right of IntelliJ and there is no option for logging in on the `Help` menu.
Is this feature not present on Linux?

Do you have IDE Settings Sync bundled plugin enabled? If yes, please attach idea.log after IDE restart.
I can't find IDE Settings Sync in either the plugins list, via Install Jetbrains Plugin or Browse repositories.
(Is it installed by default on Windows?)
Either way, this is the log:
When I download the plugin manually (latest version; 173.3850.2) I get the following:
Plugin 'IDE Settings Sync' is incompatible with this installation
Edit:
I just realized I'm using Community on Linux and Ultimate on Windows.
I'm now installing Ultimate on Linux and see if it works then.
If that's the issue, will it be supported on community in the future?
Using the Ultimate version fixed it for me :-)
Thanks for the information. Yes we will update the plugin. You may follow the https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-196118 for updates.
