Cannot maximize pycharm screen

When I open Pycharm only a small part of the screen is used and I can not resize the window, nor maximize it (the maximize icon in the titlebar is grayed out. How can I resolve this? 

Does Pycharm has a maximum window size? 

(Dell laptop with windows 10)
