Feature Request: Please allow carriage return as a row-delimiter in export

Answered

We recently moved to DataGrip from another tool. In order to continue using DG for one of our processes, we had to modify the process to use the newline. Not supporting a carriage return feels like a silly oversight.

Hi! It is not very clear. If you press Enter, the carriage is in the beginning of the next row, isn't it what you want?

I want to be able to select a carriage return as the row separator when I export data to a file. The product currently allows only for newline, tab, comma and semi-colon.

This has nothing to do with what happens when you press the Enter key, nor does the Enter key equate to a carriage return on every OS. It might be a carriage return, a new line or some combination of a newline/carriage return pair.

Got it :)

I created a ticket for this: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/DBE-6385

As a workaround, you can modify existing CSV groovy extractor and add the needed symbol there.

There is information about extractors here: https://blog.jetbrains.com/datagrip/2017/11/08/export-data-in-any-way-with-intellij-based-ides/
