Teradata connection from DataGrip creates huge number of connections and queries every table!

Hi, I'm using DataGrip 2017.3.4 to connect to a Teradata instance. The JDBC drivers I'm using are named tdgssconfig_16.10.00.03.jar and terajdbc_4.10.00.03.jar.

It seems that when I connect to TD after some time period, it opens many connections to the database and tries to pull down data from a huge number of tables.

I basically can't use DataGrip anymore to connect to Teradata, without using up HUGE amount of resource on the server.

BTW, I heard a similar complaint about Hive connections (although I haven't seen that myself)

Could you describe actions you perform that cause data pull?

Also, it'll be handy to get full IDE logs, you can e-mail'em to me vasily.chernov@jetbrains.com

As a possible workaround,  you can disable auto sync:
