Prevent IntelliJ from trimming whitespace when pasting into Find text box

I forget when this problem started occurring, but, for some time now, IntelliJ trims whitespace whenever I paste into the Find (or the Replace) text box.  How do I prevent this?  A while ago, IntelliJ didn't trim whitespace for this type of paste, and I never intentionally changed this setting.

I'm running 2018.1.3 Ultimate, but this has been occurring since at latest some version of 2017, if not earlier.
