Changing Tab Color

I am a very new user of PHPStorm.   I'm still evaluating it and attempting to get it set up to my tastes.  I'm using the light theme and one thing I would like to do is change the color of the non-active tabs to something lighter.

I found a few threads here and elsewhere on where to change this but none appear relevant to the latest version.   I'm sure with such an amazingly configurable editor that this must be an option, but where?

Thanks,

Michael

Not currently possible... Related ticket: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-126775

Note that you can change the underline color used for active editor tab in Regsitry: in Help | Find Action, type Registry, open it, search for ide.new.editor.tabs.selection.color and set it to something bright - this will make the active editor tab more noticeable

Note that we’re working on a feature allowing themes customization in IntelliJ Platform. Please follow https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-132299 to get updates.

Thank you both for the replies. I'll keep an eye on future development.   Certainly something I can live with for a while. Now on to find something discussing the "IDE Scripting" options.

Elena, I tried to edit the registry to change the underline color in pycharm. The color changes in the registry settings editor, but the editor tabs stay the same (even after restarting pycharm). Is there anything else I need to do? pycharm 2019.1.2. When I go back to the registry editor, my change is still there.
