Closing a split window does not move focus to remaining one

Hi. After the last update (I think) I'm seeing new focus behavior when closing a split window. Before, the focus would move to the remaining one, which allowed using keystrokes in the remaining one, but now he focus is lost. I have to click the remaining window before keystrokes work. Did something change? Thanks.
