Missing Project Information

Every time I open a project I have to re-import and set the configuration.
So when I open a project the src directory is missing. Project Structure shows the Project SDK as <No SDK> and the language level as 9.
I've reinstalled both java and IDEA, but still have this issue. Please help!

Do you use any file sharing services (Dropbox/OneDrive) for folders where the project files are stored? See e.g. https://stackoverflow.com/q/49701656/2000323

I use OneDrive, everything is running smooth now. This also solved a problem I was having with dependencies stored using OneDrive
