Newbie Problem: LearnProject

Hi!

I'm pretty new to Java and recently downloaded this IDE. I'm in the middle of the LearnProject tutorial, Code Completion lesson. The lookup menu for code completion isn't showing up and if I skip that lesson, the next lesson, where I have to press Ctrl+shift+space, gives me an "unkown type" error. Also, the mouse pointer vanishes when it's on the editor window.

I'm running on Windows 10 and using the bundled Jetbrains Java version.

What am I missing or is this a glitch? What can I do?
