WebStorm/CLion/PyCharm always says "could not activate license _____________"

Almost every time I open up WebStorm/CLion/PyCharm and leave it running for a while, a popup appears saying "Could not activate license ____________" that prompts me to log into my JetBrains account again.

I'm using the student license through JetBrains account. Installed using snap on Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 LTS. This did not happen on my previous install of Ubuntu Budgie 1804 LTS and before I renewed my license.
