How to turn off split screen GraphQL with a Gatsby project?
I've looked around but can't find anything related to this... how might one turn off the seemingly enforced split screen with the large graphQL icon in WebStorm?

WebStorm doesn't provide any special support for gql... are you using https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/8097-js-graphql plugin? It puts similar icon in the gutter... Not sure why it's that big though. Are you using the IDE in normal mode, or (may be) Presentation mode or Distraction free mode?
Ah, that's perfect, thanks Elena... turns out my plugin was a version behind. Updating JG GraphQL fixes what was in fact an extremely large gutter icon. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, my frustration was preventing me from seeing clearly lol.
