uncertain between education / course product and gradle.org and being online

Answered

The educational product / course developer is confusing  in several ways.

First it appears that we have to be online to develop with it. Specifically we get errors about "sync" (what sync?) failing . Then a couple of error messages (really two exactly the same) about "Download  https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-4-4.bin.zip

which is just a total mystery to us.Then there seems to be an issue where , in the project view, right cllicking and choosing create new lesson doesn't result in the new lesson appearing in the project view. We wouldn't care except that when you try to run the new lesson, IJ will complain that we need to "edit configurations" but actually, it's not clear what it wants. No listed configuration is available for either Java or Edu ... whatever the product's name is...

So what are you looking for? What are we supposed to do?

Finally is it true that all Tasks classes must be named "Task"?

This is a  really confusing  product / workflow...

I should also add that it just flat out doesn't work on Linux Mint 18.3. We got as far as entering a placeholder, or trying to, but  the popup just never appeared for unknown reasons. The nearest thing we could think of was you were piggy backing off the default browser, and we had popups disabled there.
