Is there a way to bring back old plugins UI in intellij ?
I have to say that as much as I admire jetbrains for building a really great multi-language IDE, the recent tendency to throw things up in the air and completely rebuild UIs that developers are used to (and make them productive) is really worrying me. The main example of this is the find UI which, to this day, I absolutely despise and the very first thing I do when installing intellij is to change it back to the old one - and I don't appreciate the fact that I have to dig through the registry to do this.
With one of recent intellij updates it seems a similar fate has fallen on the plugins UI, and I find the new one completely unworkable and cumbersome. As a first thing - why is my ability to sort by the number of downloads, or ratings, gone? Why does the tool no longer prevent me from disabling plugins that are used by other plugins?
Without allowing this turn it into a further rant (and I really feel strongly about tools not becoming worse over time, and about lack of respect for developers' habits), can I please switch it off and go back to the previous version that has better functionality, or am I forced to downgrade all of intellij to do that?

Hello Liliana,
We have related request on YouTrack: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-200070
Also you could switch to old layout by disabling "show.new.plugin.page" key in Registry.
Thanks, Yaroslav, for the workaround, and for link to track the issue, I'll watch it - and prompt reply :)
Liliana,
You are welcome!
