Constant High CPU and find in folders not working

Hello,

I have an Angular 6 project I am working on in PHPStorm. Recently something has changed where two of my 6 CPU cores are constantly maxed out and Find in files is rendered useless as can be seen in this screencap here: https://streamable.com/0k62d I thought I would try disabling inspections and turning on power-saving mode to see if that was causing it, but that did not have any effect. I am now at a loss with how to trouble shoot this.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or what might be causing it?

Edits:

I will also add that I just tried to perform a git rebase and phpstorm became unresponsive. I had to kill the process. Not sure if the two are related or not.

This is running on Windows 10
