.gradle caches showing in Project view

Hi,

I am creating a fresh Gradle-based Spring Initializr project in IDEA 2018.3.5 and am seeing the following in the Project view pane.

How do I prevent these .gradle\caches directories from showing in the Project view when creating a new Gradle project? Ideally, I would prefer the project view to be similar to that of a similar fresh Maven project.

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

IDEA: 2018.3.5 Ultimate

Java: OpenJDK 11.0.2

Gradle: 5.2.1

Maven: 3.6.0
