I would like to know too. I've been using normal Pycharm with Anaconda distribution. No problem so far. What advantage does Pycharm for Anaconda IDE offer?
Is it the same to have pycharm installed. And Anaconda installed myself?
It seems that anaconda is the default package manager if I set the environment to anaconda.
Yes, for now it is the same.
"Anaconda plug-in pre-installed"
Is this pycharm plug-in available only for the Professional Edition? I do not see it as an installable option in my Community edition?
I don't see it when searching the marketplace while using the Professional Edition either.
Is PyCharm Professional 201.2.3 different than PyCharm for Anaconda? If not, are there features within PyCharm Professional that improve its use with an Anaconda workflow, for example the 'Anaconda Plug-in' or enabling the default configuration for conda? Additionally, there is no Anaconda plug-in available in the plug-in marketplace, so what gives?
