XML DOM API Crash with "no implementation found for getFileDescription" Follow

Hello,

I'm making a plugin that provides assistance with XML files that correspond to a custom XSD. The only extension points being used so far consists of an iconProvider to change the igon, a dom.fileMetadaData so that I can use the XML DOM API, and a toolWindow which loads a custom StructureViewComponent

Everything seems fine but the console throws out random errors, every time a file is opened is I get:

I guess I don't understand what is triggering this error. 
The introduction https://www.jetbrains.org/intellij/sdk/docs/reference_guide/frameworks_and_external_apis/xml_dom_api.html#introduction doesn't have the Root element extend from DomFileElement, but do I need to provide an implementation for this?
