DataGrip opens new results window each time a new query is executed?

My DataGrip settings have changed somehow and now every time I run a new query (CTRL + Enter) DataGrip is opening a new window with the results. This is quite frustrating and usually on the 3rd or 4th query, it will stay in the console at the bottom in the same window of DataGrip.
I've tried looking online and in my settings but I'm not sure what setting or where it is I need to change this to get it back to normal. Any help would be really appreciated as I am a bit fed up of DataGrip opening a new window each time!

DataGrip version 2018.3.3
Build DB-183.5912.12

Do you experience the same problem in the latest DataGrip 2019.2 EAP?

To reset settings you need to delete <%user_home%>/.DataGrip<%version%> folder.
Can we mark this as solved?
Solution was to go to settings > general > execute in console > untick open results in new tab
Not sure how the new windows were being populated but this seemed to fix the problem
