"Add selection for next occurrence" and moving caret to end of word

Answered

I just moved recently to PyCharm and find the following behaviour a bit off:

Whenever selecting a word via the `Add selection for next occurrence` action (mapped to `Cmd+D` in most editors) the caret doesn't move and hence doesn't go until the end of the word, like it happens in most editors like atom, sublime and vscode.

Is there any setting to change this to the "expected" behaviour? Thanks.

Hi,
UPD: currently there is no setting to make it put the cursor to the end of the word

I'll take that as there's no such setting for what I am asking.

As of your suggestion, I opened an issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-36955
