Pycharm searches ignored files

Hi,

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening, and it's been happening for ages. I have the .ignore plugin installed, and it correctly marks those files as ignored. But when I use the "Find in path tool", it will pick these files up, regardless of what scope I use. Usually, I'll just mark the folder as excluded manually and get on with my day, but any time I delete these directories, I have to do it again and I've finally decided to stop that cycle. Can anyone tell me why these files are being searched and how to get Pycharm to ignore them when searching your project?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please note that .ignore is a third partly plugin so if you believe the issue is related to this plugin, I suggest contacting plugin maintainer.

I never used this plugin, but I doubt it will affect "find in path" functionality.

I did some more digging, and it seems that the lack of this feature is the issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-140714

I swear I used to not have this problem.
