PHPStorm test Run dialog too spacey

The space between the phpunit intro detail info and the test result is too much.

My workflow is to work on the test file while running the test, hence, I lower the Run tab...but when the results come in, I had to scroll downward to be able to see it.

In the example of the image attached, I am not even looking for the eventual test result.

I dd'ed some value and wants it value, but I cant see it straight up unless I manually scroll downward to see it, and I cant increase the tab, because then I will have to cover up my whole screen.

So I guess the question is, is there any way to reduce this space that I am not aware of?

Thanks!

Hi there,

If I'm getting this correctly, the excessive empty lines issue should be fixed in next version (may be even included in next 2019.2.1 EAP build that should be published today AFAIK). The ticket I'm referring to: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WI-46964

P.S. Should not selecting the specific test entry (instead of the whole suite run as on your screenshot) show the output specific to that test?

That would be awesome news Andriy!

Unfortunately no, the screenshot is about a specific test, not the full suite.

So try  to select specific test entry so it shows (should show) output generated for that method only. May work (sorry, I'm not using dd()/echo and alike stuff so cannot confirm it -- if I need to debug something I do it using Xdebug).

But if you want to see the end of output (e.g. final result for the whole run), try using "Scroll to the end" option:

Yes...I believe that would work.

But it would still be the same thing.

I dont want to click before I see the result.

I am using auto-test...having to click everytime cramps the flow.

Thanks for you help!

Am I wrong or is it that 15 days after, the build has not been released?
