I would like to know this as well. I have 11 consoles open and when I switch to a different console and run a different query, I then have to go to the services window to find the corresponding session... and then sometimes I have to click the results tab as well.

Since there are no responses on this I submitted a request.

The services window is separate from the query (console) tab, I don't know what the use case is for this. But playing around I found that you can select the console/query tab and results view by double clicking the console in the services tab.

Thanks for the tip , but I feel like it datagrip should show the result once we click on the relative console . once I view the query I need to know what was the result for it.

I agree, that's why I submitted a request.

Through the request I found out how to do this.

Click on the settings menu's (gear icon) on right side of window.

Select "Autoscroll to Source", "Autoscroll from Source" in the settings menu.

This will keep the two windows in sync (Autoscroll is an odd term for it).

I'm in a similar boat to you guys however I may be the opposite. Whenever I switch tabs/editor windows, it takes me straight to the results for that tab whereas I want it to just allow me to start typing in that editor window.

I've tried turning off Autoscroll from Source but it won't let me un-check it.

Any ideas?

That's a bit of a different request. Focus always seems to go to the Services window  (tree if shown, otherwise results), after selecting a tab no matter how you select it. I'm clicking a tab anyway so for me it's not an issue to click in the editor window (takes less than 1/2 second).

However I did find that the editor window will focus if you minimize the services window (the one with the results). You can also set the "View Mode" to "Dock Unpinned" so that whenever you click a tab it will minimize automatically and focus on your editor.
