Opening Modals/dialog windows freeze rubymine

When I open any dialog window find, autocomplete, context actions, etc. Occasionally rubymine freezes. If I give it a couple of minutes sometimes it unfreezes, but often I have to manually kill it and restart. My OS is Ubuntu 18.04. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
