Severe performance issues in PhpStorm 2019.2 and 2019.3

OS Ubuntu 18.04, PhpStorm installed via snap package. 16 gb of RAM, so it isn't a bottleneck for sure.

After upgrading to 2019.2 I had to immediately revert back to 2019.1.3 due to severe performance problems. In particular, there is a significant time lag between pushing of any button (either keyboard or mouse) to the IDE reaction. It's much like working via SSH with very high ping to a server. Yesterday I tried 2019.3 with hope that the issue has been solved, but the same problems are still there. So again I had to revert to 2019.1 which works absolutely smoothly.

I am ready to provide more details, logs, etc, just tell me how to gather such information which will be helpful for you to solve the problem.

Regards

Hello,

Basically, log files could be a good starting point.

You may collect these with "Help > Compress logs and show" menu option.

Afterwards, you may want to submit a support ticket (Help > Contact support) or report the issue on YouTrack:
