Ninja not fully supported in 2019.3?

I tried to open a ninja build which is generated outside Clion and got a pop window tell me that ninja is not supported. If I ignore it and continue to load the project, I would got

Cannot generate into some_path
It was created with incompatible generator 'Ninja'

Please either delete it manually or select another generation directory

So ninja is not supported well?
