Intellij new project creation , dump project structure from sbt runs forever with no log
Answered
Hi I am new to Intellij. Downloaded intellij 2019.2 community version into my 32bit windows 7 home basic system.
A new scala project I tried to create through sbt, during project creation , pop up came "sbt projects to be imported".
Did it and then in build tab I see "projet syncing and dump project structure from sbt runs forever with no log".
What could be the issue pls?
Also attached the screenshot of sbt shell tab. Attachement name- Sbt_new_proj.png
thanks,
Santosh

Try using jstack for the java process that runs sbt import to see what it's doing: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/articles/206544899 .
Try some different combination of SBT and Java versions to see if it helps.

There is nothing attached.
Are there any errors in idea.log (Help | Show Log in ... action)?
If you have antivirus/firewall, try with it disabled or make sure that IDE settings directories IDE process, IDE installation home and project files are excluded from the scan.
I've also go this problem and saw nothing terribly useful in the idea.log. As you can see from my screen shot the process has been running for 40min
