Python Console freeze

in Python console:
>import datetime
>a = datetime.datetime.utcnow()
Freeze

Same issue sometimes with time module

Hi,

Can you please try opening python shell from the terminal and trying there? By that I mean - run the python executable from the terminal outside of IDE, make sure the executable is the same that is used as project interpreter in PyCharm.

Does it work?

Sorry for delay. Same things in shell worked well.
I catched this freeze several times, like 1-2 with time module, 2-3 with datetime. Other stuff works well.

Ok, if the issue is reproduced only in PyCharm, I suggest submitting a performance issue to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues, providing the following:
