Trouble setting up SFTP access to my site on my webhost

I am having trouble setting up my first PHP project.  I know from FileZilla or Dreamweaver that my SFTP path settings are /home/ykfpdata/ykfp.org/php  but the project setup walks me from the connection to /home, but can't connect to home. My hosting company doesn't give me access to /home . My ~ is /home/ykfpdata.
