Ruby Mine just freezes in between

I just started Ruby Mine, the moment I try to edit any files it just hangs in between, and it happens for one of our big projects which is having close to 1000 files, but if I open specific file not the entire folder it just works fine.
Any thoughts on this one?

could you please specify your RubyMine version? Does the same happen in the latest 2020.1 EAP?
I am using 2019.3.2, I downloaded it last week.
Should I try upgrading it to 2020.1 EAP, but will the same license for that too?
Tried using 2020.1 EAP, still the same issue
