Extreme slow download when creating new project from existing files
Hello guys,
PHPStorm wasn't the fastest when downloading files from the server...I know that and it's ok for me. But since a few days and after the updates now the downloading is extremely slow.
I tried to download only a template-Folder with a few files in it and the download took more than 5 hours by now.
At first I thought it is caused by the server. But it's on every server....
At the moment it is nearly unusable.
How to fix that?

I am pretty sure there were no changes in the deployment subsystem recently. Are you using 2019.3?
Try the opposite, create an empty project, then configure the deployment configuration and initiate downloading this way you'll at least be able to see what it's doing (assuming you have Operations logging set to Detailed).
If it doesn't go faster and there are still no clues on why it's so slow, please add
#com.jetbrains.plugins.webDeployment(and#com.intellij.sshif you are using SFTP) to Help | Debug Log Settings, restart the IDE, retry the downloading attempt and then attach the logs bundle (Help | Compress Logs and Show in…) withing a support ticket.Just started a new client project here and I am seeing the same thing, "downloading project files" is extremely slow. I had marked almost everything as "exclude these files" but it is still "collecting files" on all the folders I ask to be excluded.
