Open external file in the same window

Hi,

Since updating to version 2020, when I open an external file, it opens in a separate window. 

How to avoid this and open the file in the same window

 

 

 

I used to open a project then open ftp using winscp and edit files from the ftp inside the project

It's necessary for me because I need the intellisense from the opened project

Also, I noticed that many features don't work when I'm in a separate window, live templates and file structure for example don't work

As I understand the IDE is opened in the LightEdit mode: https://blog.jetbrains.com/idea/2020/04/lightedit-mode/

To disable it -- follow instructions in this comment: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-236868#focus=streamItem-27-4068744.0-0
