Stuck in read-only

Answered

I have 3 MongoDB connections, two with schemas that have collections and one that doesn't contain any collections. When I try to edit fields in the ones with data in the collections I am greeted with an error: This view is read-only. Then when I connect to the one with no collections there is no option to create schema/collection when right-clicking the data source. The read only checkbox in the connection is NOT selected. It as if the driver or something is stuck in read-only mode and I can't modify anything. I am using the 1.7.3 MongoDB driver for DataGrip.

Does anyone have an idea on why I can't edit anything?

Because this functionality is not implemented yet. We are working on it, please follow and vote.

Please, remove the "MongoDB support" in DataGrip features page, it's misleading. I've downloaded the app because I need to work with mongo and you claim to support it. At least, show a WARNING note about the partial support for read-only.

Ignacio Raguet we've planned this for version 2021.1 which will be available by the end of March.
