Intelij 2020.1 has just deleted my entire project files!

InteliJ has just deleted the 99 percent of my project directory (just left xxx.iml and xxx.iws) Already tried local history and it did not work! I managed to recover 80 percent of my files with a recovery application. But the whole thing is unacceptable. As this is an old bug please fix it! Or just tell your users it could happen! For what it worths, I was editing pom.xml file and I deleted a folder with the same name of my artifactid that was somewhere in one of the subdirectory of my project (the initial version of the project) Fix it please!
