Python Virtualenv activate/join via terminal.

When creating a simple Python or Django project with PyCharm 2020.1.3 (Professional Edition) #PY-201.8538.36 The virtualenv that is setup is nowhere to be seen in the project structure.

How do I find/join the virtualenv via terminal? Secondly, what resource or link does anyone have that could teach me this behavior if I am missing something obvious?

Cheers.

Hi,

According to screenshots your virtualenv directory and project root are located in different directories. In most cases this is ok, they don't have to be.

But if you want to have venv in your project root (and see it in your project structure), you can create one there. PyCharm asks you where to create virtualenv when you create the interpreter.

For more info on how to create new interpreter/venv: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/configuring-python-interpreter.html
