I'm trying to define a scope to exclude files with dollar signs in their names from the project view. As soon as the character is in the scope pattern, it does not match anything anymore. The exception is when it is at the end of the pattern, then it appears not to have any effect. (I could understand that if the pattern was a regular expression, but it isn't.)
In an inclusion pattern, the dollar sign is mostly treated as absent as well, i.e. the pattern matches whatever it would match if the dollar sign was not there.
I have tried various ways of escaping the dollar sign (backslash, angle [edit: square] brackets like in regex, doubling it), but nothing works. Is there a way to define a scope pattern that matches a literal dollar sign?
