GitHub integration under Win10
Answered
I Tried on two different Win10 machines. Newest IntelliJ 2020.2 as Zip and started bin\idea64.exe
On "Welcome to IntelliJ IDEA" I used "Get from Version Control"
I'm able to log on to GitHub using "Log In via GitHub...." as well as "Log In with Token..." as I see my GitHub projects listet.
But if I choose clone - the windows just closes.
On "Get from Version Control" tab "Repository URL" it states "Git is not installed". "Download and Install" does something and finishes with "Git has been installed". But if I leave "Get from Version Control" and come back, it stated "Git is not installed" again.
Any idea on the topic? Thanks for help.

Found solution:
Stupid simple: Exit IDE and start for second time - now it works.
@IntelliJ could there be any hint to popup to do so?

It is not intended behavior. Everything should work without a restart.
If the logs are still there, could you please share them? Please attach to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-247611
