PHPStorm macbook - weird selection behaviour on double click
When I double click a word, PHPStorm selects like from half of the word, up until somewhere in the next word. I cannot figure out what it tries to do and why it does it.

Could you please share a screenshot with the selection and the overall context?
After I double click at the position of the cursor, the caret moves to end of the word, and displayed portion is selected.
And what happens if you put a caret on the cursor position and invoke "Edit > Extend Selection" action, what part of code will be selected? What happens if you invoke it several times in row?
Also, would it be possible to share the code example or just paste a reproducible context right here?
