Enable VCS color sheme for folders

I have integrated git into my project and colors now appear accordingly to the files but not to folders in order to show their status.

How can I enable version control color scheme for folders?

Here's the picture of what I'm talking about below.

The file inside the folder is colored but the folder it not.

You can enable it under Preferences | Version Control by checking "Show directories with changed descendants"

For someone who needed, in version 2022, the setting is located at File | Settings / Preferences | Version Control | Confirmation | Changes

[ ] Highlight directories that contain modified files that in the Project tree
