Is .idea folder for 2020.2 backwards compatible with 2019.3.3 ?

Hi,
is it safe .idea-folder wise to have team members both running 2019.3.3 and 2020.2 versions, with regards to changing content in .idea folder ? (code styles etc.).

Hello,
The .idea folder can be shared between versions, although changing its content is safer to do from within an older version of the IDE.
