intellij keymap does not work on macbook

I have intellij idea on a mac catalina 10.15.6.
The shortcut for renaming methods/variables does not work:
This is the definition in the keymap section
I am using an external keyboard and the fn keys are mapped correctly as you can see below.
I still can not rename method/variable defs using `shift+f6`

What IDE keymap scheme and keyboard layout do you use? Do you have any keyboard management software installed in your OS?
Do other Shift+F.. shortcuts work?
Is Shift+F6 recognized by the IDE if you type it in the File | Settings | Keymap > Find Shortcut field?
It may be intercepted by another software installed on your PC that uses this key mapping. Try looking for a clue on what software it might be on this website and disabling / reassigning the shortcuts accordingly.
