Change timeout time for the second stroke on the keyboard shortcuts. Modes?

Answered

Is there a way to change timeout time for the second stroke on the keyboard shortcuts?

Sometimes I need more time to read the "clues" on the status line, or to think about what is the next stroke. Yes, it happens.

Ideally, I would like to have a feature where I could type the second stroke multiple time without leaving the "second stroke mode". I mean, completely removing the timeout to accept the second stroke.

I have in mind something like the "modes" on i3wm where certain shortcuts just enter in a mode. When in that mode, you can use all "second strokes" you want. To leave the mode, you just press another certain shortcut.

An example: In Intellij and WebStorm I've set "Alt_b" as my "bookmark mode", where the second strokes are "T(oggle), S(how), N(ext), P(revious). If I want to go to the next bookmark I have to hit "Alt_b, n" multiple times. If my suggestion were implemented, I could press "Alt_b" once, and "n" multiple times to go around my bookmarks.

This is only one example but I believe that the idea of "modes" could be extremely useful, as it is on i3wm .

Thanks.

You can adjust them in the registry:

Thank you, Konstantin. Just one more thing: it was kind of hard to find the Registry. The only way I could access it was by creating a keyboard shortcut to it. It seems that it doesn't appear on the menus. Does it?

Yes, it does not. The simplest way is to find it via "Maintanance" dialog (Ctrl/Cmd+Alt+Shift+/)
