update pycharm
Can't update pycharm because of permissions. (Linux)
sudo updatedb && sudo locate pycharm.sh

This doesn't look like permission issue.
To update PyCharm, please either download new version in .tar.gz from https://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/download/ and extract to new directory, or (recommended) use our [Toolbox App](https://www.jetbrains.com/toolbox-app/download/) to easily manage and update multiple IDEs.
