Git log branch lines

1. Is there anyway to control the color of branch lines in the VCS git log? (either natively or via addon) 

2. Is there some way to cleanup the visualization of branches?  They often look like spaghetti when looking at multiple merges.  

Straightening lines might make things a little easier to look at, but for sure setting colors to specific branches would be SO nice.  Especially master and develop branches.
