Multiple programmers

I like using GitHub to commit changes to an online backup only accessible to me and Zoom to observe the development process in real-time. This approach allows me to let a third person look on as well and even comment without letting others download the entire code base or make changes directly.

I would like to know what methods other people are using to accomplish similar objectives.
