Answered

After upgrade to ver 2020.3, i'm trying to commit from the commit tab, in most of the cases its not doing nothing at all, and hence i need to do it from the terminal.

Hello,

Does it help if you temporarily disable all downloaded plugins under File | Settings | Plugins > Installed and restart the IDE using the File | Invalidate Caches & Restart menu option?

Do you see any popups flashing after hitting 'Commit' or any relevant errors in the idea.log (Help | Show Log in...)?

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

Does it help if you temporarily disable all downloaded plugins under File | Settings | Plugins > Installed and restart the IDE using the File | Invalidate Caches & Restart menu option?
nope, tried both things and it doesn't seems to help.

Do you see any popups flashing after hitting 'Commit' or any relevant errors in the idea.log (Help | Show Log in...)?
When the commit doesn’t seems to work (in 3 of 4 attempts approx), i don't get any indication for that: no popover, the idea.log isn’t record anything.

Thanks for the details. Looks a lot like IDEA-185735

Can you check whether the commit gets processed if I you untick the Optimize Imports option?

Please also upload the whole log folder (Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostics Data) to https://uploads.jetbrains.com/ and provide the upload id. I will attach that information to the YouTrack issue privately for the Dev team to analyze.

Feel free to follow the issue in order to stay updated on the progress of the investigation.

See this article if you are not familiar with YouTrack.

The Optimize Import checkbox is unchecked by default.
