PyCharm - WSL / Ubuntu 20 - Home directory empty

I'm currently trying to set my machine up for development of my Django project with PyCharm after a clean windows installation.

I have installed PyCharm but it not picking up any of the files or folders that have been created in my home folder which means I cannot select my virtualenv interpreter.

Its been a while since I set this up first time so I just want to check that I am not missing anything.

I am using:

PyCharm 2020.3.3 (Professional Edition) Build #PY-203.7148.7
WSL 1
Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042
