double click tab title while in split view (how to revert to how it used to work)

I just upgraded to PhpStorm 2021.1
Build #PS-211.6693.123

Functionality that has change is when I double click on the tab title while its split left|right previously this would hide any open sections and leave me with just the editors.  I like this way and would like to return to how it functioned.

After the update in addition to hiding the open side panels (project, git, find etc..) it also resizes the editor panel.

So if I had it split 50|50 after double click whichever tab was clicked now takes up 85|15 the majority of the screen.

Possible to revert via a setting anywhere?

Apparently this is a go-to change from a Core team: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-264921#focus=Comments-27-4793134.0-0

Unfortunately I can't see any options to revert the change. It would be great if you could submit this to our tracker at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue if you're not happy with the change.

Thanks Dmitry,

Tracker created here:

I'm sure some will like the new feature, its not an improvement for me though.

That post is about maximizing the editor which I do not want to do, I just want the way it worked before, if the editors are 50|50 double click removes hides the surrounding panels.  The linked issue does not indicate if the double click returns the old behavior or keeps the 85|15 behavior.  Thanks.
