Preferences search for 'hover' shows unrelated results, unable to find what I need

I'm not seeing how these results are relevant:

I'm trying to figure out how to disable or delay the pop-up box on hover in a .php file containing Vue and HTML... I'm not sure what to search for.

Is this a PHP pop-up or an HTML one or a Vue one or... ??? I'm assuming it's an HTML one and I'll need to dig around in settings based on that context.

I feel like the terminology in PHPStorm settings is still kind of inconsistent or inaccurate or all over the place.

The setting responsible for that is Preferences | Editor | General | Code Editing | Quick Documentation | Show quick documentation on mouse move, I've created a request to change it to "move": https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-266986

There's also a request for the unexpected "hover" results submitted already: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-239072

The "Show quick documentation on mouse move" setting is actually in `Preferences > Editor > Code Editing > Quick Documentation` (not in `General`); also I'm not sure why you use pipes (|) as step separators since pipes look like tab separators. Greater-than symbols are visually obvious that they're "next step" separators.

Did you mean "hover"?

So disabling that quick documentation setting does stop the pop-up, however, I think it would be nice to instead have a delay on it, or some sort of manual trigger, like a mouse/keyboard shortcut, which I'm not seeing in the settings yet (or not recognizing). The Editor Tooltips delay looks like something different.

Basically, there is an option to set a delay for documentation popup already, the "Tooltip delay" controls this behaviour as well:

As for the key shortcut trigger, you may want to use the "Ctrl+Q" shortcut to invoke the documentation popup (Keymap: Main menu > View > Quick Documentation")

Also, what is about pipes that Eugene is using, I would like to notice that this is a default IDE notation when you use the "Copy settings path" feature:
