Hello,

The installation of the new Toolbox (3.6.1.85592) on Windows 11 failed.

The error is “Failed to initialize Toolbox JVM application: 107”
I upload all logs files here : Upload id: 2026_07_15_dsxj4D3DzR1UVZT7WHfsqj (files: installer-20260715-083220.294.txt and 3 more)

Hi Rszymanski,
This issue should be similar to TBX-18898.

To resolve the issue, please use the following steps:

  1. Press Win and search for "Edit environment variables for your account" (also check "Edit the system environment variables" if it is set there).
  2. Open the Path variable and look for the entry that starts and ends with a double quote (like "C:\Program Files\...\Team Explorer" one).
  3. Edit that entry so it reads without the quotes: C:\Program Files\...\Team Explorer
  4. Save, then start Toolbox again.

Please let us know if it doesn’t help. Thanks.

The error usually points to the Toolbox JVM not starting properly. Try uninstalling any old Toolbox version, delete leftover Toolbox folders, restart Windows, and run the installer as Administrator. Also check if antivirus or security tools are blocking the installer files. If it still fails, the uploaded logs should help identify the exact cause.

In a corporate environment, security policies or endpoint protection can sometimes block installers without showing a clear reason. It may also be worth checking with your IT administrator to see if the installer needs to be whitelisted or run with specific permissions. The installation logs should help identify exactly where the process is being blocked.
